Lifesaving skipper formally recognized by Coast Guard

                   GUAM – Coast Guard Cmdr. Yuri Graves, the deputy commander of Sector Guam, officially recognizes and pins on the Meritorious Public Service Award on Edward Ratigan during a ceremony at the Port Authority of Guam April 12, 2011.

Yuri Graves, the deputy commander of Sector Guam, officially recognizes Edward Ratigan with the Meritorious Public Service Award during a ceremony at the Port Authority of Guam, April 12, 2011. Ratigan was honored for his courageous efforts while responding to a distress call from the crew of the Majestic Blue, June 14, 2010. 
The Majestic Blue was sinking more than 90 miles away when Ratigan responded, arriving first on scene in time to save 22 fishermen.
