Media Advisory: Coast Guard to host media day to kick-off National Safe Boating Week
WHO: Members of the Coast Guard, Coast Guard Auxiliary, Honolulu Fire Department, Division of Boating and Ocean Recreation, and Hawaii Sail and Power Squadron.
WHAT: 2011 National Safe Boating Week is upon us. We would like extend an invitation to all media to help us notify the public and remind mariners about safe boating and what they can do to help keep everyone safe on the water. There will be a pre-demonstration for the nationwide “Ready, Set, Inflate” followed by a search and rescue demonstration.
WHERE: Base Support Unit Honolulu, 400 Sand Island Parkway, Honolulu, HI
WHEN: May 20, 2011 at 12 p.m. through 2 p.m.
