U.S. Coast Guard commandant awards Hawaii governor for distinguished public service

HONOLULU-- Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle receives a Distinguished Public Service Award from Adm. Thad W. Allen, the commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, during a reception in Waikiki, Hawaii, March 11, 2010.

Allen praised Lingle's unwavering support of Hawaii-based Coast Guard military personnel and their families.
