U.S. Coast Guard commandant awards heroism medal to Guam-based Coast Guardsman

HONOLULU -- Adm. Thad W. Allen, the commandant of the U.S. Coast Guard, pins the Coast Guard Medal on Petty Officer 1st Class William Horne during a reception in Waikiki, Hawaii, March 11, 2010.
Horne rescued three children and two adults from a burning truck while off duty in Dededo, Guam, Feb. 8, 2009. The Coast Guard Medal is awarded for a voluntary act of heroism in the face of great danger.
