U.S. Coast Guard crews hold ceremony to bless, dedicate their new craft

HONOLULU -- (left) U.S. Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Robert Downs, Station Honolulu’s officer-in-charge, and Capt. Barry Compagnoni, Coast Guard Captain of the Port, Honolulu, stand at the bow of the new 45-foot Response Boat Medium (RB-M) after the blessing and dedication ceremony held at Station Honolulu, Wednesday, June 16, 2010.
The RB-M’s new ergonomics, and enhanced safety features allow boatcrew members to perform multiple missions more effectively and serve as a complement to the station’s 47-foot Motor Lifeboat and the 25-foot Response Boat Small.
