HONOLULU - U.S. Coast Guard, Maui Fire Department and Maui Police Department crews are searching for a missing snorkeler in the vicinity of Black Rock Beach on Maui, Thursday.
Rescue crews are looking for any signs of a 54-year old woman last seen approximately 150 yards from the Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa.
She was last seen wearing a blue swimsuit and fins. She is reported to not be wearing a lifejacket.
The Coast Guard was contacted at approximately 4:30 p.m. and arrived on scene at approximately 4:45 p.m. Coast Guard Station Maui launched their 45-foot Response Boat Medium and an aircrew launched an HH-65 Dolphin helicopter from Air Station Barbers Point to assist in the search.
Coast Guard crews plan to search throughout the night.
